What we do

A small menu, executed with care.

We value depth over breadth. We do four things well, and we'll tell you when you don't need any of them.

01

Managed Accounts

Separately managed accounts at Interactive Brokers. Non discretionary, you authorize every transaction. We monitor, recommend, and execute.

02

Comprehensive Planning

A full plan, cash flow, retirement, education, estate, charitable, and tax aware investment design. Delivered in writing.

03

Annual Financial Review

An hour, a quarter, or a year, recurring engagements at a cadence that suits your life. Plan, portfolio, and tax review in one.

04

Outside Account Consulting

Have a 401(k), a deferred comp plan, or concentrated stock at another custodian? We'll consult on it without taking custody.

Our philosophy

Client needs always come first.

01

Relationship based

You speak directly with the adviser who manages your account, not a 1 800 line. Decisions are made together, in writing.

02

Cross disciplinary research

Geopolitical, economic, fundamental, technical, and cycle analysis are weighed together to build a position thesis.

03

Graham & O'Neil influence

Our research approach draws on the value discipline of Benjamin Graham and the growth methodology of William O'Neil. References to these methodologies describe our process, not a promise of results.

04

Hands on, top down

Macro frames the menu. Industry sharpens the choices. Security selection is where the work is, and where we spend the time.

Our approach

A multi disciplined, top down methodology.

We start at the macro level, geopolitics, economic regime, central bank posture, and work down through industry, factor, and company analysis. Cycle analysis is layered on top to size conviction. The output is a written thesis behind every recommended position.
  • Macro: geopolitical, monetary, fiscal, cycle
  • Industry: structure, capital intensity, profit pools
  • Security: fundamentals (Graham) and momentum (O'Neil)
  • Position sizing: conviction weighted, stress tested

Financial planning

A plan you'll actually use.

Comprehensive financial planning is a written engagement. We model cash flow, retirement timing, estate flow, education funding, charitable strategies, and the tax considerations that shape investment decisions. You leave with a binder, and a quarterly cadence.
  • Retirement and decumulation modeling
  • Estate flow and beneficiary alignment
  • Education funding (529s, UTMAs, custodial)
  • Tax aware investment design and harvesting
  • Charitable strategies (DAFs, CRTs, QCDs)

Our city

In the heart of Manhattan.

We work from a Fifth Avenue landmark, a few blocks from Bryant Park and a short ride from the floor of the Exchange. A sense of place, and of permanence.

Our home

The Astor Trust Company Building

A classical limestone landmark at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, an address tied to American finance for more than a century. The setting suits the work: measured, deliberate, and built to last.
